ISSA, with the help of the Department of Communications (DoC) has decided to create an Organizational Performance Management system that will allow users from the different units in an organization to input these plans online. Users will all be able to report on their performance. Friendly email reminders also inform users to update the progress to ensure a timeous performance reporting.

In the 2008/09 financial year, the Department of Communications offered Internships to promising graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 for a period of twelve (12) months.

In May 2008, Valery Makgetlaneng and Esme Rakau joined the Software Applications unit at ISSA. Relocating from their respective provinces, Limpopo and Gauteng they endeavored on their journey to Cape Town.

HTML training, skills transfer, web tutorials.

ISSA in conjunction with the Presidential National Commission on Information Society and Development (PNC on ISAD), created a training program and training manuals to help skill staff in municipalities to create and update their own websites. These training manuals include examples and exercises covering all the basics of HTML.
