The Free State lies in the heart of South Africa; the province is the granary of South Africa, with agriculture central to its economy, while mining on the rich goldfields reef is its largest employer.
In October 2008, a group of 40 e-cooperatives and municipal officers were trained in Bloemfontein. Once again this was a remarkable training experience; even the cleaning lady joined the class and was eager to learn how to design a website. The following websites were created by the trainees
